"PEACE - PRIVACY - PARADISE" Phophonyane Falls Ecolodge and Nature Reserve is located in the spectacular mountain scenery of north west Swaziland, in lush forest and along several kilometers of waterfalls and cascades. it is conveniently situated on the main tourism route through Swaziland and a mere 70kms south of the Malalane Gate of the Kruger National Park. The lodge is situated above the main waterfalls and set in expansive and lush water gardens. A choice of accommodation is offered ranging from luxury traditional style Swazi beehive huts, to double-storey thatched cottages and well-equipped safari tents on platforms in the riverine forest overlooking the Phophonyane River. Accommodation is limited to 30 guests. There are two large swimming pools and a stylish a-la-carte restaurant. Activities are mainly focused on the surrounding nature reserve with its stunning views and network of hiking trails, as well as 4x4 mountain drives, visits to rock paintings or day trips to the many areas of local interest. Cultural activities can be arranged with the local community. The nature reserve is part of the 600 ha Phophonyane Conservancy, which falls within the Barberton Centre of Endemism, an area of global biodiversity significance. It hosts over 400 tree species, 250 bird species and numerous small mammals such as bushbuck, red duiker and clawless otter.
